Going vegetarian is a great subject nowadays. It's not difficult to find some type of persuasion to become a vegetarian in magazines, tv, yoga groups, blogs and so on. I think the trend is more and more people becoming vegetarian or choosing to eat less and less meat. The environment problems the world is facing lead us to believe that eating less and less meat is good for us and Earth.
Here's a text I wrote in 2017, expressing my experience on going vegetarian for a short period. 😏

Here's a text I wrote in 2017, expressing my experience on going vegetarian for a short period. 😏
I always had some kind of attraction for vegetarian food and I would occasionally chose vegetarian menus at restaurants. I even used to cook soy at home once in a while. Some months ago I started eating meat only at dinner, because I was feeling I was eating too much meat. About a month and a half ago I decided to try some days without eating meat and that experience lasted for 3 weeks in a row. At first everything was alright. I felt fine. But after the first week (I guess) I felt bloat and a bit uncomfortable. I guess it was because my intestine was getting used to my new diet. I felt ok the following day. That's the only bad thing I have to say about taking meat out of my diet, although I must say that having my family to accept my new diet was and is still some kind of a problem.
Nevertheless, I do eat meat once in a while (once a week, for example). I must say that I feel some differences. I feel less tired and when I don't have a good night sleep I feel less sleepy than I used to feel.
I'm not vegetarian. I don't have a strict rule in what concerns my meals. I follow my intuition and I eat what I want, which now is eating less meat and more vegetables. What about you? What do you think about this? 😊
No início correu tudo bem e sentia-me bem. Aproximadamente no final da primeira semana, senti-me inchada e indisposta. No dia seguinte sentia-me bem.

So, today I decided to share with you some pictures I find here and there that I like. 💓💓💓
Hoje decidi partilhar convosco algumas imagens, que vou encontrando aqui e ali, que eu gosto. 💓💓💓
Mindfulness is a hip
nowadays and from my point of view it is good for humanity.
Meditation, as a small part of mindfulness, is not for buddhist monks
only, as it was commonly considered some time ago. People are
starting to change and understand that thoughts change behaviours and
even realities and that's not anything difficult to understand, if
you consider that Nikola Tesla and Einstein told the world that
everything is energy and so are our thoughts.
If we consider that we
live, first of all, in our own head, we start to understand that
controlling our thoughts is controlling our actions and reactions,
behaviour and, ultimately, our life. A non-trained mind goes from
thought to thought endlessly, choosing most of the times, negative
thoughts, depreciative opinions even for oneself. Repeated thoughts
create beliefs and beliefs command our lives through choices,
decisions, reactions and actions. Some people call it the 'monkey
mind' 🙉 and some suffer a lot by lack of control on it. So meditation
is the most successful practice to minimize the whole 'monkey mind'
scenario.
Unfortunately, most
people have high expectations on meditation and because of that, they
believe that it is something they can not achieve (and I'm not
talking about the nirvana state of being or anything like that). When
I started meditating, I wanted to achieve a state of being able to
stop thinking for a few minutes, as I had previously noticed that my
thoughts were very negative and I wasn't able to manage them. Once I
met a Yoga teacher and I asked him: “- How can I stop thinking?”
For my despair he answered with another question: “-Why do you want
to stop thinking?”
I made my own research
and started meditating in a quite simple way. I lighted a candle in a
quiet bedroom and sat on the floor, crossed legs and focused my
attention on the candle's light. My thoughts didn't stop, but my
attention on them grew further and further, Then, I changed the
method and started to meditate in a semi-dark room listening only to
sounds or a particular sound I noticed, not putting my attention on
anything else.
Meditation is like
anything we do: practice is the key. The best attitude for starting
meditating is to avoid expectations and go for it. Even if it doesn't
go that well, it is good and each one has it's own rhythm and
favorite way.
So, first of first,
choose a quiet place where you can be comfortable. You can listen to
meditation music (there's a lot of them on youtube), use incense or
essence oils or do it in nature, which is very good and nurturing.
Seat comfortably, close your eyes and take deep breaths. Inhale from
the nose and fill your belly with air. Count until 4, 6, 10, until
you can not keep the air inside anymore and then exhale softly
through the mouth. Repeat it ten times, diminishing the seconds you
keep the air inside. You'll notice the energy flowing through your
body or only through your head. Then focus your attention on the
thing you chose: a sound, a light, a candle, an image. Thoughts will
come to your mind. That's normal and expected. Gently, mentally, let
them go away without paying attention to them and focus again on the
thing you previously chose. Do it for 5 minutes the first time and
when you feel ready do it for a longer time. The most important
advice I can give you is: follow your intuition. You can choose as
well guided meditations. There's a bunch of them on youtube, but
avoid the Binaural Sounds, as they can be dangerous. Another simple
and quite common way to meditate is to focus your attention on
breath. By the way, the more you practice meditation, the more you'll
listen to yourself and your intuition.
Here are some
meditation suggestions for you. If you have any question or want to
share your experience, leave a comment and I will gladly answer you.
Namaste! 🙏
As pessoas
reações, comportamentos e, consequentemente, a nossa vida.
Infelizmente , a
do género).
Vai.”
teus pensamentos e a tua intuição.
Acima estão algumas
sugestões de meditação. Se quiseres colocar alguma questão ou
partilhar a tua experiência, deixa um comentário. Terei todo o
gosto em responder. Namaste! 🙏

As I told you before when I told you about my dj life, I'm always listening to music and, when I'm not, there's always some music going on my mind. That's how I am! 😝
So I decided to share with you some of the tracks I've been listening to lately. Nevertheless, you can follow me on facebook and have some more looks/listenings on this subject.
I hope you enjoy it. 💓

Why I like photography
They say an image says
more than a thousand words. Well, I'm not sure. Words explain more.
Images show. Both can be used as symbols to convey one or more
messages. I think photography can be another way of sending my
messages to whoever wants to see them. Taking photos of the things I
see is, in a certain way, one of my many forms of sending my visions
and messages to the world. Someone, after reading this blog, may say:
“Patricia, you think you are a great artist and you can do anything
you want, don't you?” Well, my friends, this persona is not that
convinced that she is a great artist. This persona is just exploring
the things she likes doing, hoping that someone will enjoy them as
well. In case nobody enjoys them, it's not bad. In fact, this persona
(which is me) is quite used to no having her things valued or
appreciated. Not a big deal. 😂
So I like to photograph
things I find interesting and I have some kind of attraction for
making ugly things look beautiful. You can think that's strange, but
I'm quite sure there's more people like me. What really annoys me
(well, not that much) is that the pictures don't REALLY show the
reality I see. So, when I see something interesting I try to capture
it through the camera, but that's almost impossible, as my vision is
totally influenced by my beliefs, life experiences, learnings,
feelings, etc. Nevertheless, I try and that's the main reason why I
like photoshooting. The result is a new and different vision of the
reality I captured, which makes the whole process even more
interesting.
Beyond that, I have no
knowledge about the technical issues of photography (although I spend
much of my time appreciating photos) nor do I have a camera. I just
use my mobile phone, just like most people. A long time ago I started
reading about photography in order to learn about it, but other
priorities came into my life and I gave up on it. Regardless of that,
being it for marketing reasons (which I think is the main reason) or
others, someone watched my instagram feed and invited me to publish
my photos at YouPic and I accepted the challenge just to see where it
would take me to. 😏
What about you? Do you
like photography? Why?
Here's some of my
photos:
Fotografia... Porquê?
Dizem que uma imagem
diz mais que mil palavras. Bem, não tenho a certeza. Palavras
explicam mais. Imagens mostram.
Uso apenas a câmara do meu telemóvel,
alguém viu o meu feed do instagram e convidou-me para publicar as
minhas fotos no YouPic.
levaria. 😏
E vocês? Gostam de
fotografar? Porquê?
30m exercices make a
difference
A healthy mind in an
healthy body makes a huge difference. Feeling fit and doing some
exercises in a daily basis add up to our body and mental health. This
is proved by scientists and I think nobody nowadays says the
opposite, unless that someone is really lazy. 😂😂
What do you do to get
fit?
I can tell you about my
experience. I used to get into gyms and do a bunch of exercises in a
bunch of different big machines. I liked it until I started paying
for it, monthly, and not going there. Just like many people I know, I
understood that I was tired of gyms. So later I chose different ways
of doing exercise, at home, by myself and whenever I wanted. I found
my own rhythm and pace.
Basically, I follow my
intuition among different types of exercises. I started with yoga.
Bought a book on that, and started doing it at home and had a chance
of having some classes in a beach with a yoga teacher. Later I found
different types of online yoga classes and got attached to Ali Kamenova's classes. She created her own type of yoga, by adding some
cardiofitness exercises, which turned the classes more active and
challenging. She is also a good influence and a very interesting
person that will motivate you to keep going further and further.
Besides yoga, I walk. I
like walking and sometimes I make it look like a new adventure when I
find different ways and spots by myself. It's possible to find myself
in some kind of small wood trying to figure where it will end up to.
Walking is good, mainly if you do it among nature. Both mind and body
get invigorated. I usually walk 6 kms, or less 😏 while drinking
water and photographing interesting things I find on the way. After
walking, I usually do some short exercises that I found online as
well. They are quite energetic, but not that much tiring, since
there's always a short break between them.
I must confess
something: my goal is to do some exercise almost everyday, but
unfortunately, for one reason or another, I just can't. 😏 That's
my goal. Maybe one day... Who knows?
So tell me about your
“getting fit” experiences. Do you have a personal trainer? Do
you find difficult to turn it into a routine?
Como ficar em forma em casa
30 m de exercícios fazem a diferença
Uma mente sã num corpo
saudável fazem a diferença. Sentir-se em forma e fazer exercício
diariamente beneficiam abundantemente a nossa saúde mental e física.
Basicamente, sigo a
estar numa nova aventura, principalmente quando encontro novos
caminhos e locais. É possível encontrar-me em pequenos pinhais,
tentando perceber onde vão dar. Caminhar é ótimo, principalmente
se o fizerem na natureza. Tanto o corpo como a mente ficam
energizados.

Best Portuguese Fashion
Designers
Everybody who likes and
follows fashion has their favorite fashion designers. I am not
different. I like to scroll their collections and seek inspiration
while trying to be up to date, as this fashion world is quite speedy
and full of new things to discover.
Have you ever thought
about your favorite fashion designers?
Well, I know who are my
favorite portuguese fashion designers and I'm going to share it with
you today. So, for various reasons I can name three – Dino Alves,
Alexandra Moura and Nuno Baltazar.
It doesn't mean I don't
like other portuguese designers, but at the moment I can relate
better to their creations.
First of all, I was
astonished the first time I went to ModaLisboa (and I was lucky to
wander through the backstage area) and watch Dino Alves' catwalk
show. It was in an empty and long factory room with a white smoke
ambience. The clothes were different, original and quite interesting
and I couldn't forget that event. I like his rebellion and
originality. 👅
As for Alexandra Moura,
I like the concepts she works with, the whole imagery of her
creations and the clothes as well (of course!).
Finally, Nuno Baltazar
used to impress for the simplicity, elegance and the emotional
catwalk shows based on movies that used to make the audience stand up
while clapping at the end of the show.
Here you are some
photos of their latest collections.
By the way, who are your favorite fashion designers? 💬
Dino Alves
Alexandra Moura
Nuno Baltazar
enquanto tento manter-me atualizada neste mundo super rápido da moda
As peças
me esqueci deste evento. Gosto do seu lado rebelde e original. 👅
Quanto a Alexandra
